Institute for Integrative Nutrition: Nutrition & Holistic Health School is the largest nutrition school in the US that takes a holistic approach to health care. Sarah learned from the top nutritionist and health experts from around the world.

Including such experts as Deepak Chopra, Dr Andrew Weil, and Dr. OZ. You may ask…What is a Health Coach??
A health coach is a supportive mentor and wellness authority who works with clients to help them feel their best through food and lifestyle changes. Instead of prescribing one diet or way of exercising, Health Coaches tailor individualized wellness programs to meet their clients needs and goals. Sarah not only provides the knowledge in creating an individualized health plan, but the continued support to make sure her clients thrive and succeed in meeting their personal goals.

Programs

Sarah offers a 3 and 6 month program. This program includes an initial consultation which includes a “health history”.
Together, Sarah and her client form an individualized plan designed to meet the client’s health goals.
After the initial consultation, she meets with her clients twice a month for a 50 minute coaching session.
Sarah’s program also includes a “kitchen detox” visit and a “grocery shopping run through”. Both of these are designed to educate and empower the client.
Clients have the option to continue their coaching service after they have completed the 3 or 6 month program. Many individuals find the healthy living support an important element in their overall health and happiness.

TotalWellness

As a graduate of IIN, Sarah believes in the philosophy of “Bioindividuality”. This is a fancy term that simply means that each one of us has a unique body with a unique combination of genetics, environmental stressors, injuries, and sensitivities. This means that the best way to help the individual is to treat the individual with his/her unique background. There is no “one” diet or lifestyle that fits all.
Sarah also believes in a concept called “Primary Food”. Primary food can be looked at as all the factors effecting overall health outside of nutrition. In this philosophy, healthy relationships, fitness, career, and spirituality are just as important as the food you eat. Heath Coaches understand that it takes a holistic approach to support the whole person.
Sarah finds that people work best when slowly introducing healthy foods and habits. When clients get comfortable with their new habits, their unhealthy habits will often start to disappear. As Sarah would say, “when focusing on the good…we can grow much faster.”
Eating whole, unprocessed, seasonal foods is the backbone to Sarah’s nutrition philosophy.

Kosher Healthy Living

Sarah has an added ability to help the Kosher community. As an individual that keeps kosher in and outside the home, she understand the unique questions and struggles with keeping a kosher and healthy diet at the same time. “Kosher” does not always mean healthy. Just as there are many kosher foods that undergo supervision that are clean and healthful, there are just as many products and “foods” on the kosher shelves that just don’t belong in the body! Sarah can help the kosher shopper sift through the kosher shelves, and find healthy options and recipes that are kosher AND healthy. She can help guide individuals to find the right food for both their body and spirit. Sarah also understands struggles that an observant Jew might have surrounding food and the Jewish calendar. There are challenges serving and eating large meals for Sabbath and holidays. Sarah’s knowledge of this lifestyle is very helpful in coaching observant Jewish individuals.
